May 3 - 9 - National Herb Week:
Trade in the saltshaker for herbs this week. A pinch of fresh herbs
adds flavor to everything from a simple pasta to a fancy roast. If you
have a little baby and want to begin introducing some awesome flavors,
check out our article on Baby-Friendly Herbs, Spices and Natural Flavors. Certain herbs are known for the flavors they give to international cuisines. Read Cooking with Herbs to learn how you can create a dish to delight your family's taste buds.
You can also celebrate National Herb Week by growing some herbs. They are very easy to grow, and do well in the garden or in containers (indoor or outdoor). With a small investment of potting soil, and seeds or starter plants, you can be snipping fresh herbs all year long! |
