My Purple Mood - Fashion Friday

I'm in a kind of purple mood this week. It occurred to me after the first three days of the week that I was wearing only my purple clothes and I got lots of compliments. When I decided to wear purple for the rest of the week (just for the remaining two days), I ran of of ideas.
I finally hit Pinterest and what I found was not far from what I had in mind. I simply wore my purple tops/blouses and accessories with jeans. Thought I should share them with you.

Thankful Thursday

It's Thursday and I'm joining a lot of other bloggers to share a post on what I'm thankful for. It's a way of saying "Thank You God" for all he has been doing in my life and for my family. This will be a weekly post and I would like my readers to comment and let us know what they are also thankful for.

I'm thankful that my husband has been safe and sound while touring some countries in Africa. We miss him so much and we are looking forward to his coming back.

I'm thankful for life, good health and good people that we are surrounded with. Our friends have always been there for us and some times,  I don't even remember that we live very far away from home.

I'm also thankful that after some years, I have the motivation to go back to  school to do an advanced level German Language. I've been dreading it but I know it will be good for  my career.

   God's Beautiful Delights....
Early in the glow of morning light
As I softly wake upon the dawn
My heart cries out in thankfullness
To greet another dawn

I thank the Lord for sundrenched skies
For dreams upon a starry night
For flowers blooming in the garden
For rays of sparkling light

I revel in the captivation
Of every day delights
That make me sing through every season
With the joy our Father brings

For summer's warmth and cooling breeze
For striking color of the fall
For winter's cozy fires
And the birth of spring's new call

For the thankfulness we feel
Before the hope of Christmas comes
To celebrate the greatness of our Savior
And His everlasting love.

Source: Pinterest

It's been a rainy week over here and I keep asking : Where Is The Sun?. In times like this when we don't have to go out a lot, I simply search for interesting crafts to do with my kids and I found this one on Pinterest (for younger kids). I think it so cute.

When He Gives, He Gives Us More and Beyond Our Expectations

What I Read Today;

A boy went to a shop with his mother.

The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle with sweets and said ‘Dear Child..you can take the sweets…
But the child didn’t take.

The shop keeper was surprised.. such a child he is and why is he not taking the sweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets…
Now the mother also heard that and said.. take the sweets dear..
Yet he didn’t take…

The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets… he himself took the sweets and gave to the child. The child was happy to get two hands full of sweets.

While returning home the Mother asked the child…
Why didn’t you take the sweets, when the shop keeper told you to take?…
Can you guess the response:

Child replies… Mom! my hands are very small and if i take the sweets i can only take few.. but now you see when uncle gave with his big hands…. how many more sweets I got!

When we take we may get little but when God gives… HE gives us more beyond our expectations… more than what we can hold..!!

What I read Today....

She Is The One Who Will Open The Door For Me!

It’s been said, on the first day of their marriage, wife and husband decided and agreed not to open the door for anyone!

On that day first, husband’s parents came to see them, they were behind the door. Husband and the wife looked at each other, husband wanted to open the door, but since they had an agreement he did not open the door, so his parents left.

After a while the same day , wife’s parents came , wife and the husband looked at each other and even though they had an agreement , wife with tears on her eyes whispered , I can’t do this to my parents , and she opened the door.
Husband did not say anything, years passed and they had three boys and the forth child was a girl. The father, planned a very big party for the new born baby girl, and he invited everyone over.

Later that night his wife asked him what was the reason for such a big celebration for this baby while we did not do it for the others! The Husband simply replied, “Because she is the one who will open the door for me!”
