Plumber Job - A Job To Appreciate

I like doing a lot of things around the house. Sometimes I try to fix things by myself instead of running out to get a handy-man. My husband help out with  so many things at home too but he is not handy at all. When some things need to be fixed, I try to give it a go by trying to see if it's what I could do before calling the professionals. Our friends are always amazed how I get some things done and this has really helped our family finance because we don't give out a lot. I have tried my hands on so many things and  I'm most thankful to my dad from whom I got much experience in doing plumber job. Plumber jobs are one of the jobs that no one should underestimate. If you have found yourself in a situation that you urgently needed the service of a plumber, you would understand what I am talking about. If you have witnessed a scene where a frozen pipe busted, and a plumber was there to save the situation, you would agree with me that they are like life savers. My dad was the most sort after back then in out neighbourhood not just because of his job but because of the passion with which he did it.
Several years ago, when we bought our house we needed to renovate a lot of things, although we got the services of professionals but the little experience I have was an added advantage for  us. I tried to work together with them and I asked a lot of questions, they explained so many things to me. They were nice and patience.  I'm not saying that I'm that good but there are some basic things I can do. I learnt a lot from my my father because I was always helping him when I was younger. I was always there when he was fixing things at home (I could  help him hold or measure out things ) I knew all the tools he was using. I still remember those days, though we don't say much to each other when he is working (fixing things) but I felt we connected  a lot. We shared a lot of eye contacts and smiles. Several times, he would even ask me to go with him when he was working for family friends. Because I was always with him, I learned a lot of things without knowing it. Today, I would say that I'm reaping the results.

When I talk about frozen pipes with friends, here are some basic things I tell them to do  in case their pipes freeze or burst and that's what I also want to share with you.

1. The very first thing to do is to turn off the water at the mains.

2. A frozen or burst pipe presents an immediate problem but looking for specialists in diagnosing and fixing the problem is your best option.

3. If the water has burst and you are wet, stay out of electrics around the pipe. If it has not burst, try to protect any electric around the pipe.

Though things like this don't happen very often but if they do, you would be thankful that you know what to do instead of being confused.

Are You Using Internet Marketing For Your Business?

The internet is very dynamic and vast market. There has been an exceptional growth in the online market place. With the alarming increase of the internet over the last decade, internet marketing has become one of the extremely most popular methods of advertising strategies by business people. If you try internet marketing with orangeSoda.com, your business can be found by millions of people simply by applying major marketing techniques. Internet marketing is essential for anyone who wants to market anything on the web. It has become an excellent tool to reach a larger audience. With all these in mind, there is no doubt that internet marketing  strategy  is a wise decision for every business because the internet has become an integral part of many peoples lives.
Even small business owners benefit a lot from Internet marketing today and I can really attest to that because I have seen the results myself. Even if you are starting a one man show or a 1000-employee cooperation grant, if you don't market it on-line, you are losing business to other shops/companies that do.

The electronic mail (Email) and social media sites have become the preferred communication channels for a large percentage of the population. If you are building or marketing your brand, you need to need to be where people are.

Here are some reasons why you should use internet marketing for your business:

1. Internet is an effective way to market your brand on a much lower budget

2. Internet marketing enables you to target specific audience/customers.

3. You can market both locally and globally with much ease.

4. It is very easy to track results to measure the efficiency of a given marketing strategy.

We Need A Commercial Mower!!!

I love houses with big yards and that's why I'm enjoying my home for over four years now. My kids have enough space to play and run around as they want and we enjoy the company of friends and relatives during the warm seasons when we invite them over for BBQ party. For the fact that we have kids who like to play around the yard with their friends and we always like our friends to come and hang out with us, we try to maintain some decency in and around our home.
My husband is not a professional when it comes to mowing the lawn but I think he is very good in cutting our 3,5 acres. At first he had a hard time doing this and  has tried different techniques but he  finally found out that the size of the engine counts a lot. We are considering to buy one of the best commercial mowers as soon as we can afford it because it will make life a bit easier for him (he doesn't just have fun doing it).  He puts extra efforts when mowing the lawn to make sure that our yard looks nice and he cuts almost every 4 days but our mower leaves lanes of cut grass pieces that looks horrible. He was getting really frustrated and since he has a job that is taking him outside the state, he can't stand cutting so often. He had to do it anyway because he didn't want our yard to look nasty since other people living in our neighbourhood are doing a good job at maintaining their own property.  We noticed that some of our friends who get their yards cut by professionals who use all these big  commercial mowers always have their yards looking gorgeous.
The quality of cut is greatly affected by the cleanliness of the underside of the deck, sharp blade, high engine speed, etc. The professional operators don't want dissatisfied customers so they try to always keep the blades sharp and the decks clean.
A commercial mower has a higher blade tip speed and a more efficient design to process the grass in variety of conditions. If we can afford one of those, I think it will handle our property very good. But until then, we have decided to let the professionals do it for us and we are satisfied  with their work so far.

My Ticket Experience

I am a very careful person and I like it when things are perfectly done. I'm far away from being perfect though but I try as much as possible to maintain some decency in my day to day life. I try to obey rules as much as I can but recently, I have gotten a couple of  Traffic Tickets. I can't really explain how it happened because over the years, I'm always careful when it comes to driving and I personally don't like to over speed and don't want to get any ticket . I was cited for speeding by the CHP 58 in a 40 mph zone by radar and I was more than frustrated because I can't possibly speed so fast in such a zone (or am I even wrong?). I don't like the fact that I'll keep on paying such bogus amount for speeding ticket because I work too hard to let that kind of money to go to waste (that's how I see it) and I won't like extra points on my driving records again.

In cases like this, I'm a strong believer in fighting for my right. I don't just let it go. Fighting for my right helped me beat my speeding ticket and not have to deal with fines, points being added to my drivers license and insurance rate increases. I thought it was worth giving a try, even if it didn't work I'll know that I put up a fight. After all I'm innocent until I'm proven guilty. I did everything that was necessary to make me win (with the help of my lawyer). I stood my ground and I even got a chance to question the officer and I think I did pretty good job at that. I used the tips and methods I gathered from experienced people to win. And I'm very happy I did. The process is very pleasant and simple and I will definitely recommend it to everyone and will  also use it again and again if I have to.

How To Get a Perfect Shave

Believe it or not, shaving has become the least expensive form of hair removal. As more men and women are turning into the art of shaving, most people still do it the wrong way and are also using the wrong tools and thereby running into the common problems of  nicks and irritation to the dead skin.
I think that there should be some basic and necessary items one should have in order to get a perfect shave. These simple tips works perfectly well for my husband who has been using this aged long family tradition:

* Get a good badger shaving brush. A good shaving  brush is not just a brush to apply the cream to your face, it ex-foliates and removes the dead skin from your face before shaving. They are made of badger hairs and come in difference sizes and hair types.

* For a perfect shave, get a glycerine-based shaving cream.

* Shave with proper shaving cream for your skin type. If you have sensitive skin, use a shaving cream that is made for sensitive skin.

* It is advisable to ex-foliate your skin before shaving and always moisturise your skin after the shave.

Through my interaction with some family members and friends, I have found out that many people still shave their dry skin but we should remember that shaving is a natural exfoliator. If you try to dry shave, you run the risk of clogging up the razor with dead skin  while putting yourself at the risk of nicks and razor burn.

Instead of dry shaving, I have found out that wet shaving or using shaving cream are about the best ways to give your skin the proper treatment it deserves.

Here are some reasons why you should use shaving cream

1. Dragging a blade a across your skin everyday does a lot of harm to the skin. Shaving cream protects your skin from blades and facilitates gliding as opposed to dragging the blade across your skin.

2. Using a quality shaving cream , makes a big difference. It ultimately helps to protect your skin from razor burns, bumps and ingrown hairs.

3. Good shaving cream will not only give you a super close shave, they can also leave your skin smooth and gives you a cleaner shave.

4. Shaving cream helps to reduce cutting yourself as opposed to dry shaving.

5. When shaving, be gentle to your skin. Do not drag the blades deep into your skin. Handle it with some TLC and you will discover a new you.

Five Ways To Ease Into Spring

If you are considering breaking out of your comfort  aesthetic zone this Spring - whether you are a working class or stay-at-home mom, single or married, etc, it will be less daunting when you start small. The winter months are behind us and with the freshness of the spring, you can add more colours and life to your day-to-day fashion.

1.  Slowly add new colours to your wardrobe. You don't need to quit an earth tone habit cold turkey or trade all your pastels for more somber shades. Just try a fresh palette; most importantly, put on one thing - like a pair of shoes, you can even try flat white sandals for women or  a colour you've never worn before.
2.  Tweak your haircolour by one or two shades. This will make your hair suddenly look brighter and fresher. You can try some semi-permanent  dyes that washes out over several weeks or just apply a gloss to add shine and tone down brassiness.

3.  Try a hair piece. This is not scary as many women  would think. Add extra length  and body by clipping a fall under your own hair just beneath your crown. Don't be hesitant to experience some bangs for a while.

4.  Pick up a new bag. You don't just have to wear it, just carry it. That's why a purse or tote that's a little funkier, or more conservative, than your usual look is a perfect gateaway piece.

5.  Get glimmery. A little sparkle, whether metallic shoes or a shimmery top, can give a live to your look - even during daytime (try to avoid bright colour, a skintight silhoutte, and brilliant shine all at one).

Get Your Kid a Haircut

Most children are afraid of haircuts because they think the process will hurt - and who can blame them? You see a stranger coming at your head with a pair of scissors, and you might be afraid, too. Plus, haircuts require sitting completely still for anywhere from ten to thirty minutes. How do you get your little rock star to agree to a visit with Vidal Sassoon.

Ways To Go About It

* Tell your child when you're going to get your hair cut, as a way to subtly teach him/her that it's something grownups and kids do. Better yet - let him/her come along with you to see how it all works and that it won't hurt.

* Find a good kid-friendly barber with lots of toys, games, and other entertaining items.

* Don't say you're going to the barber - learn the barber's name and say you're going to your friends place, calling the barber by name.

Help The Situation

* Do it yourself - set up a "barber shop" or a "salon" in your house. Invite your child in for his/her appointment. Ask him/her to bring money with which to pay you (you can let him use real money). Play fun, kid-friendly music - let your child pick. Allow him/her  to  wet her own hair with a spray bottle (don't scold if she gets you wet).  Talk through the haircut. Tell jokes. Ask questions. Start slow - do not give your child an aggressive haircut. Begin with a trim. After the haircut, comment repeatedly on what a "big kid" he/she was. Tell your friends. Celebrate the milestone in some way.

* Enlist a second adult or older sibling. Use previously mentioned tactics but add an element of immobilization. Your child can sit on the adult's or sibling's  lap or in a highchair during the haircut. Have the second adult distract her.

* Use a video or a snack or both. (Caution: The snack may get hairy.) Work very quickly. Let go of the idea that it all needs to happen in one sitting.
