One of the things that keep me going in my journey as an Expat Woman is associating myself with the right set of people. Belonging to a community as I mentioned on Tips for Expat Women is a good way to come in contact with the local citizens and Expat Women and also helps you to exchange tips on living in a new country.
Seeing these women of different shapes, sizes, colours, cultures and hearing their motivational and success stories encourages me a lot. I'm a member of Gospel Forum which is an international living church here in Germany. Over 4,000 visitors come from near and far to attend our different services regularly each weekend.
Last Sunday was our International Day. This programme is held every year to recognise all the international members of the church and their countries. Most countries all over the world are represented and on that day, foreigners are treated kings and queens (just like any other day). Gospel Forum International Day is a colourful event. Members are dressed in their native/traditional attires and some there are some cultural presentations. After the service, different countries have
stands where they show case their traditional foods and specialities.
Here are some pictures from the International Day 2011.
