Okay ladies/mommies, most of you must have seen this but I just saw it and can't hold back sharing it with you. I know I support attachment parenting and I don't have anything against it but something about this picture makes me uncomfortable. 

 My question is, even if you want to nurse a child up to this age, would you be proud enough to do it in public?  And when do you think is the right age to stop breast feeding a child.

What To Put In Your Shaving Travel Kit

As an Expat woman who travels a lot with her family, I've  mastered the essential items that I need when hitting the road. One of the things I love most is comfort and I try as much as possible to make each journey as comfortable as possible. My travel bags  are stocked with important items that I need when traveling especially when it comes to self-grooming. My husband thinks it is even more convenient that I pack  his travel kit for him  because I do it twice better than him. One of the things that amazes him is how I stock his shaving kit with the essential items that you would naturally assume to find in a shaving kit as well as less likely additions that I have found need for over the years. It is much less expensive to buy the smaller portions of products  that you might need while traveling before hand than to try and purchase them at an airport, hotel or convenience store.

Things like combs, cotton swabs, dental floss and dental hygiene tools can fit in your shaving travel kit without taking much space. Others are baby powder and Cortaid  for any chaffing/itch relief, a small travel sized shampoo in-case I don't like the one provided by the hotel or if I am staying at a hotel that doesn't provide shampoo. If am using any medication during the time of travel, I always throw it/them into my shaving kit too.

I'm not a big fan of too-long gowns but I'm totally loving this turquoise evening gown that Kate Middleton wore to the "London Olympic Gala" concert. She looks absolutely amazing in it and the dress need an Olympic gold medal. 

A closer look at the back shows a beautifully designed see-through lace.  This royal girl knows how to carry what she wears with her charming nature.

Today is Mothers' Day.  Here in Germany and in some other Europe countries, it is celebrated on every second Sunday of May. Celebrations of mothers and motherhood occur throughout the world; many of these have histories can be traced back to ancient festivals. I'm so proud to be a WOMAN and a MOTHER. Have you ever thought of what the world would have been like without mothers? I think that God wouldn't have created it in the first place. According to William Ross Wallace, "The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world". Kuddos to all moms.

My Fashion this summer centres mostly on African Designs. Maybe it is because of my visit to Nigeria some couple of months ago. African prints are taking up on fashion scenes recently and I'm really proud of that. Most celebrities have also been spotted rocking their Ankara prints.

The Sand and The Stone (Wordful Wednesday)

TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING
THROUGH THE DESERT.
DURING SOME POINT OF THE
JOURNEY, THEY HAD AN
ARGUMENT; AND ONE FRIEND
SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE
IN THE FACE.
THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED
WAS HURT, BUT WITHOUT
SAYING ANYTHING,
WROTE IN THE SAND:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.
THEY KEPT ON WALKING,
UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,
WHERE THEY DECIDED
TO TAKE A BATH

THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN
SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE
MIRE ! AND STARTED DROWNING,
BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.

Things You Should Know About Perms (Fashion and Beauty Friday)

It's true that a permanent wave can give you a fresh, beautiful look

Here are a few things to consider first:

The solution used in a perm can be tough on sensitive skin, so it's important to be sure your scalp is in good condition and free of any irritations or sores. If you have an extra-dry scalp, this should be treated at least a week prior to getting your perm.

If you've had your hair recently straightened or coloured, adding a perm on top of that may be a recipe for disaster. Having two or more procedures done too close together can wreak havoc with your hair and cause severe breakage. It's best to wait at least 1 - 2 weeks between chemical services to minimize damage.

A permanent can help relax tight curls and make your hair more manageable, or it can add lovely texture and body to long, straight locks. But one look does not fit all. Make sure that you communicate your desired results to your stylist and that she or he understands what you're hoping to achieve.

Remember that permanents are true to their name! The results will last for months, and that's a long time to live with a style you don't like. If you decide a perm is right for you, be sure to get it done by a trusted professional - and always follow their guidelines for caring for your new style.
